VoxFeed collects some Personal Data from its Users.

Types of Data collected

Among the types of Personal Data that VoxFeed collects, by itself or through third parties, there are: first name, last name, gender, date of birth, phone number, email address, password, company name, country, city, website, shipping address, language, profile picture, Cookies, Usage Data, unique device identifiers for advertising (Google Advertiser ID or IDFA, for example), Camera permission, Storage permission, Social media accounts permission, geographic position, various types of Data and username.

Complete details on each type of Personal Data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy policy or by specific explanation texts displayed prior to the Data collection.
Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using VoxFeed.
Unless specified otherwise, all Data requested by VoxFeed is mandatory and failure to provide this Data may make it impossible for VoxFeed to provide its services. In cases where VoxFeed specifically states that some Data is not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this Data without consequences to the availability or the functioning of the Service.
Users who are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to contact the Owner.
Any use of Cookies – or of other tracking tools – by VoxFeed or by the owners of third-party services used by VoxFeed serves the purpose of providing the Service required by the User, in addition to any other purposes described in the present document and in the Cookie Policy, if available.

Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Data obtained, published or shared through VoxFeed and confirm that they have the third party's consent to provide the Data to the Owner.

Mode and place of processing the Data

Methods of processing

The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Owner, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of VoxFeed (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Owner at any time.

The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users if one of the following applies:

  • Users have given their consent for one or more specific purposes. Note: Under some legislations the Owner may be allowed to process Personal Data until the User objects to such processing (“opt-out”), without having to rely on consent or any other of the following legal bases. This, however, does not apply, whenever the processing of Personal Data is subject to European data protection law;
  • provision of Data is necessary for the performance of an agreement with the User and/or for any pre-contractual obligations thereof;
  • processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Owner is subject;
  • processing is related to a task that is carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Owner;
  • processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner or by a third party.

In any case, the Owner will gladly help to clarify the specific legal basis that applies to the processing, and in particular whether the provision of Personal Data is a statutory or contractual requirement, or a requirement necessary to enter into a contract.

Place

The Data is processed at the Owner's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.

Depending on the User's location, data transfers may involve transferring the User's Data to a country other than their own. To find out more about the place of processing of such transferred Data, Users can check the section containing details about the processing of Personal Data.

Users are also entitled to learn about the legal basis of Data transfers to a country outside the European Union or to any international organization governed by public international law or set up by two or more countries, such as the UN, and about the security measures taken by the Owner to safeguard their Data.

Retention time

Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for.

Therefore:

  • Personal Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the Owner and the User shall be retained until such contract has been fully performed.
  • Personal Data collected for the purposes of the Owner’s legitimate interests shall be retained as long as needed to fulfill such purposes. Users may find specific information regarding the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner within the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Owner.

The Owner may be allowed to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever the User has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. Furthermore, the Owner may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever required to do so for the performance of a legal obligation or upon order of an authority.

Once the retention period expires, Personal Data shall be deleted. Therefore, the right to access, the right to erasure, the right to rectification and the right to data portability cannot be enforced after expiration of the retention period.

The purposes of processing

The Data concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its Services, as well as for the following purposes: Registration and authentication, Access to third-party accounts, Managing contacts and sending messages, Analytics, Content performance and features testing (A/B testing), Device permissions for Personal Data access, Displaying content from external platforms, Handling payments, Heat mapping and session recording, Hosting and backend infrastructure, Infrastructure monitoring, Managing landing and invitation pages, Managing support and contact requests, Platform services and hosting, Remarketing and behavioral targeting, Social features, SPAM protection, Tag Management and User database management.

Facebook permissions asked by VoxFeed

VoxFeed may ask for some Facebook permissions allowing it to perform actions with the User's Facebook account and to retrieve information, including Personal Data, from it. This service allows VoxFeed to connect with the User's account on the Facebook social network, provided by Facebook Inc.

Basic information

By default, this includes certain User’s Data such as id, name, picture, gender, and their locale. Certain connections of the User, such as the Friends, are also available. If the User has made more of their Data public, more information will be available.

About Me

Provides access to the 'About Me' section of the profile.

Birthday

Provides access to the birthday.

Insights

Provides read access to the Insights data for pages, applications, and domains the user owns.

Manage Pages

Enables the application to retrieve access_tokens for Pages and Applications that the User administrates.

User Timeline Posts Access

Provides access to the posts on a Users's timeline.

Device permissions for Personal Data access

Depending on the User's specific device, VoxFeed may request certain permissions that allow it to access the User's device Data as described below.

By default, these permissions must be granted by the User before the respective information can be accessed. Once the permission has been given, it can be revoked by the User at any time. In order to revoke these permissions, Users may refer to the device settings or contact the Owner for support at the contact details provided in the present document.
The exact procedure for controlling app permissions may be dependent on the User's device and software.

Please note that the revoking of such permissions might impact the proper functioning of VoxFeed.

If User grants any of the permissions listed below, the respective Personal Data may be processed (i.e accessed to, modified or removed) by VoxFeed.

Camera permission

Used for accessing the camera or capturing images and video from the device.

Social media accounts permission

Used for accessing the User's social media account profiles, such as Facebook and Twitter.

Storage permission

Used for accessing shared external storage, including the reading and adding of any items.

Detailed information on the processing of Personal Data

Personal Data is collected for the following purposes and using the following services:

  • Access to third-party accounts

    This type of service allows VoxFeed to access Data from your account on a third-party service and perform actions with it.
    These services are not activated automatically, but require explicit authorization by the User.

    Facebook account access (VoxFeed)

    This service allows VoxFeed to connect with the User's account on the Facebook social network, provided by Facebook, Inc.

    Permissions asked: About Me, Birthday, Insights, Manage Pages and User Timeline Posts Access.

    Twitter account access (Twitter, Inc.)

    This service allows VoxFeed to connect with the User's account on the Twitter social network, provided by Twitter, Inc.

  • Analytics

    The services contained in this section enable the Owner to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of User behavior.

    Fabric Answers (Google Inc.)

    Fabric Answers is an analytics service provided by Crashlytics, a business division of Google Inc.
    In order to understand Google's use of Data, consult Google's partner policy.

    This service is designed for mobile apps analytics and can collect various information about your phone, highlighted in the Fabric Answers privacy policy.
    In particular, VoxFeed uses identifiers for mobile devices (including Android Advertising ID or Advertising Identifier for iOS, respectively) and technologies similar to cookies to run the Fabric Answers service. Fabric Answers may share Data with other tools provided by Fabric/Crashlytics, such as Crashlytics or Twitter. The User may check this privacy policy to find a detailed explanation about the other tools used by the Owner.
    Users may opt-out of certain Fabric Answers features through applicable device settings, such as the device advertising settings for mobile phones or by following the instructions in other Fabric related sections of this privacy policy, if available.

    Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of VoxFeed, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.
    Google may use the Data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

    Hotjar is an analytics service provided by Hotjar Ltd.

    The services contained in this section allow the Owner to track and analyze the User response concerning web traffic or behavior regarding changes to the structure, text or any other component of VoxFeed.

    Google Website Optimizer is an A/B testing service provided by Google Inc.
    Google may use Personal Data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

  • Displaying content from external platforms

    This type of service allows you to view content hosted on external platforms directly from the pages of VoxFeed and interact with them.
    This type of service might still collect web traffic data for the pages where the service is installed, even when Users do not use it.

    Vimeo video (Vimeo, LLC)

    Vimeo is a video content visualization service provided by Vimeo, LLC that allows VoxFeed to incorporate content of this kind on its pages.

  • Handling payments

    Payment processing services enable VoxFeed to process payments by credit card, bank transfer or other means. To ensure greater security, VoxFeed shares only the information necessary to execute the transaction with the financial intermediaries handling the transaction.
    Some of these services may also enable the sending of timed messages to the User, such as emails containing invoices or notifications concerning the payment.

    PayPal (PayPal Inc.)

    PayPal is a payment service provided by PayPal Inc., which allows Users to make online payments.

    Heat mapping services are used to display the areas of a page where Users most frequently move the mouse or click. This shows where the points of interest are. These services make it possible to monitor and analyze web traffic and keep track of User behavior.
    Some of these services may record sessions and make them available for later visual playback.

    Amazon Web Services is a hosting and backend service provided by Amazon.com Inc.

    This type of service allows VoxFeed to monitor the use and behavior of its components so its performance, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting can be improved.
    Which Personal Data are processed depends on the characteristics and mode of implementation of these services, whose function is to filter the activities of VoxFeed.

    Crashlytics (Google Inc.)

    Crashlytics is a monitoring service provided by Google Inc.

    Personal Data collected: geographic position, unique device identifiers for advertising (Google Advertiser ID or IDFA, for example) and various types of Data as specified in the privacy policy of the service.

    Firebase Crash Reporting is a monitoring service provided by Google, Inc.

    The way New Relic is integrated means that it filters all traffic of VoxFeed, i.e., communication between the Application and the User's browser or device, while also allowing analytical data on VoxFeed to be collected.

  • Managing contacts and sending messages

    This type of service makes it possible to manage a database of email contacts, phone contacts or any other contact information to communicate with the User.
    These services may also collect data concerning the date and time when the message was viewed by the User, as well as when the User interacted with it, such as by clicking on links included in the message.

    This type of service helps with building and managing landing and invitation pages, i.e., pages for presenting a product or service, where you may add your contact information such as an email address.
    Managing these pages means that these services will handle the Personal Data collected through the pages, including Usage Data.

    Instapage is a landing page management service provided by Instapage, Inc., that allows VoxFeed to collect the email addresses of Users interested in its service.
    Instapage allows the Owner to track and analyze the User response concerning web traffic or behavior regarding changes to the structure, text or any other component of the created landing pages.

  • Managing support and contact requests

    This type of service allows VoxFeed to manage support and contact requests received via email or by other means, such as the contact form.
    The Personal Data processed depend on the information provided by the User in the messages and the means used for communication (e.g. email address).

    Zendesk is a support and contact request management service provided by Zendesk Inc.

  • Platform services and hosting

    These services have the purpose of hosting and running key components of VoxFeed, therefore allowing the provision of VoxFeed from within a unified platform. Such platforms provide a wide range of tools to the Owner – e.g. analytics, user registration, commenting, database management, e-commerce, payment processing – that imply the collection and handling of Personal Data. Some of these services work through geographically distributed servers, making it difficult to determine the actual location where the Personal Data are stored.

    WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.)

    WordPress.com is a platform provided by Automattic Inc. that allows the Owner to build, run and host VoxFeed.

  • Registration and authentication

    By registering or authenticating, Users allow VoxFeed to identify them and give them access to dedicated services.
    Depending on what is described below, third parties may provide registration and authentication services. In this case, VoxFeed will be able to access some Data, stored by these third-party services, for registration or identification purposes.

    Direct registration (VoxFeed)

    The User registers by filling out the registration form and providing the Personal Data directly to VoxFeed.

    Facebook Authentication is a registration and authentication service provided by Facebook, Inc. and is connected to the Facebook social network.

  • Remarketing and behavioral targeting

    This type of service allows VoxFeed and its partners to inform, optimize and serve advertising based on past use of VoxFeed by the User.
    This activity is performed by tracking Usage Data and by using Cookies, information that is transferred to the partners that manage the remarketing and behavioral targeting activity.
    In addition to any opt out offered by any of the services below, the User may opt out of a third-party service's use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

    Facebook Remarketing (Facebook, Inc.)

    Facebook Remarketing is a remarketing and behavioral targeting service provided by Facebook, Inc. that connects the activity of VoxFeed with the Facebook advertising network.

    AdWords Remarketing (Google Inc.)

    AdWords Remarketing is a remarketing and behavioral targeting service provided by Google Inc. that connects the activity of VoxFeed with the Adwords advertising network and the Doubleclick Cookie.

  • Social features

    Firebase Dynamic Links is a social feature provided by Google Inc. Dynamic Links are tracked within Firebase or Google Analytics for Firebase, which informs the Owner about the details of the User journey to and within VoxFeed.

  • SPAM protection

    This type of service analyzes the traffic of VoxFeed, potentially containing Users' Personal Data, with the purpose of filtering it from parts of traffic, messages and content that are recognized as SPAM.

    Google reCAPTCHA (Google Inc.)

    Google reCAPTCHA is a SPAM protection service provided by Google Inc.
    The use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google privacy policy and terms of use.

  • Tag Management

    This type of service helps the Owner to manage the tags or scripts needed on VoxFeed in a centralized fashion.
    This results in the Users' Data flowing through these services, potentially resulting in the retention of this Data.

    Google Tag Manager (Google LLC)

    Google Tag Manager is a tag management service provided by Google LLC.

    Personal Data collected: Cookies and Usage Data.

  • User database management

    This type of service allows the Owner to build user profiles by starting from an email address, a personal name, or other information that the User provides to VoxFeed, as well as to track User activities through analytics features. This Personal Data may also be matched with publicly available information about the User (such as social networks' profiles) and used to build private profiles that the Owner can display and use for improving VoxFeed.
    Some of these services may also enable the sending of timed messages to the User, such as emails based on specific actions performed on VoxFeed.

    Intercom (Intercom Inc.)

    Intercom is a User database management service provided by Intercom Inc. Intercom can also be used as a medium for communications, either through email, or through messages within VoxFeed.

    Personal Data collected: Cookies, email address, Usage Data and various types of Data as specified in the privacy policy of the service.

  • Push notifications

    VoxFeed may send push notifications to the User.

  • The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13

    Users declare themselves to be adult according to their applicable legislation. Minors may use VoxFeed only with the assistance of a parent or guardian. Under no circumstance persons under the age of 13 may use VoxFeed.

  • Selling goods and services online

    The Personal Data collected are used to provide the User with services or to sell goods, including payment and possible delivery.
    The Personal Data collected to complete the payment may include the credit card, the bank account used for the transfer, or any other means of payment envisaged. The kind of Data collected by VoxFeed depends on the payment system used.

  • Analysis and predictions based on the User’s Data (“profiling”)

    The Owner may use the Personal and Usage Data collected through VoxFeed to create or update User profiles. This type of Data processing allows the Owner to evaluate User choices, preferences and behaviour for the purposes outlined in the respective section of this document.
    User profiles can also be created through the use of automated tools like algorithms, which can also be provided by third parties. To find out more, about the profiling activities performed, Users can check the relevant sections of this document.
    The User always has a right to object to this kind of profiling activity. To find out more about the User's rights and how to exercise them, the User is invited to consult the section of this document outlining the rights of the User.

The rights of Users

Users may exercise certain rights regarding their Data processed by the Owner.

In particular, Users have the right to do the following:

  • Withdraw their consent at any time. Users have the right to withdraw consent where they have previously given their consent to the processing of their Personal Data.
  • Object to processing of their Data. Users have the right to object to the processing of their Data if the processing is carried out on a legal basis other than consent. Further details are provided in the dedicated section below.

User

The individual using VoxFeed who, unless otherwise specified, coincides with the Data Subject.
